20 May – Come on over to Malaysia's biggest movie event, Movie Carnival 2011 (MC11) happening this 1 to 19 June and participate in the "Hot Magazine Cosplay Competition" to win exclusive prizes! The "Hot Magazine Cosplay Competition" will be held on 12 June from 2pm - 3.30pm, where participants will be able to join for free. Registered Cosplayers will then participate in the "Heroes and Villains March", a march of cosplayers around IPC Shopping Centre, where 10 finalists will be chosen to portray their best character impersonation on stage for 30 seconds. Winners will be determined by the loudest cheer received by the crowd and also from a panel of judges who will pick three winners based on the following categories; Best look-alike masked character, best non-masked character and best overall marcher from the "Heroes and Villains March".
The best overall marcher will be the grand prize winner who will walk away with electronic items worth a whopping RM3000 plus and also an exclusive goodie bag. The best look-alike masked character and best non-masked character will each have the chance to vie for the first prize, which will comprise of electronic items worth RM2000 and also an exclusive goodie bag.
