10 Nov – Moviegoers can look forward to popcorn priced at RM1 while they watch movies as TGV Cinemas will be opening their 16th outlet at 1 Shamelin Shopping Mall, Kuala Lumpur on 11 November 2011.
Located in a nine-storey shopping mall in Taman Shamelin Perkasa, TGV 1Shamelin is reportedly equipped with 8 cinematic halls including one with 3D projection capabilities, and an overall seating capacity of 1,714 seats. The cinema also features The Cantina, the very first lifestyle cafe among TGV Cinemas in the Klang Valley which will offer a different menu from the Candy Bar, with a selection that ranges from Illy coffee and Häagen Dazs ice cream, to croissants. The opening comes at a time where some of this year's anticipated movies will be released. The showtimes for the titles such as, "Immortals", "Real Steel", "The Adventures Of Tintin: Secret Of The Unicorn", "You Are The Apple Of My Eye" and "Tower Heist" that will be screened at TGV 1 Shamelin starting tomorrow are available at the 'Showtimes' section on Cinema Online. TGV Cinemas will also be giving away a total of 8,000 free tickets every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 18 November onwards until 9 December 2011. Stay tuned to Cinema Online for more updates.
