19 Oct – As "Real Steel" dominates first place again this week, bringing its total gross to US $51 million, the remake of "Footloose" managed to dance its way to a decent second place with US $15 million in ticket collections, as leaves its other competing remake, "The Thing", to debut at third place at the North American box office for the weekend just gone (13 Oct – 16 Oct), according to online tracker, Box Office Mojo.
In Malaysia, Hugh Jackman proved to be a favourite among fans as moviegoers found it difficult to grab tickets for the first place helming, "Real Steel", as it takes up first place. The remake of the John Carpenter film, "The Thing", debuts at second place, while the controversial local film, "Klip 3GP", debuts at third place at the local box office for the weekend just gone.
Similar as the rest, Singapore too saw "Real Steel" take the first spot again, while "The Thing" crept up to second place, leaving "What's Your Number" staring Chris Evans and Anna Faris to debut in third place at the local box office for the weekend just gone.
Other new releases and sneak shows last week in Malaysia include "Trespass", "Sector 7", "Life Without Principles", "Aazaan" and "Love You You".
In Singapore, other new releases and sneak shows last week include "Rascals", "Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster", "The Snow Flower And The Secret Fan", "Mural" and "Midnight In Paris".
