7 Apr – 9-screen MBO Viva Home Mall on Jalan Loke Yew, Cheras will open to the public for regular business this 15 April 2011, headlining Justin Bieber's 3D movie "Never Say Never". It will be the 12th outlet nationwide for the expanding chain, having rolled out MBO KSL City earlier this year with some minor hiccups. Following the upcoming soft launch party for industry players and guests on the eve of the opening, the chain has already put up vacancy ads for technicians and cinema crew. The four-storey mall Viva Home is part of a RM280 million two-phase redevelopment of Plaza Uncang Emas (UE3), which Kha Seng Group acquired in 2009 for some RM100 million as reported by The Edge earlier in January this year. Other developments by the cinema chain include a work-in-progress at Subang Parade and also a cineplex with 8 halls at Space U8 in Bukit Jelutong to open before 2012 as the very first in Shah Alam.
