7 June – The latest superhero movie to hit our screens "X-Men: First Class" attracted an estimated US $55.4 million at the North American box office, while "The Hangover 2" drops from its high horse to the number two spot, leaving "Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom Of Doom" at third place for the weekend just gone (2-5 June), according to online tracker Box Office Mojo.
As Kung Fu fighting is no match for extraordinary mutant powers, the Malaysian box office also registered the "X-Men" prequel; "X-Men: First Class" at first place, leaving Po the panda to settle with second place in "Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom Of Doom" as "Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" falls another step down to number three.
No surprises in Singapore as well as "X-Men: First Class" dominates the top spot, while "Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom Of Doom" gets beat down to second place as Todd Phillips' "The Hangover 2", opens with less laughs at the third spot.
