16 Feb – 39-year-old Hollywood A-lister, Adrien Brody has been revealed to be the fourth of the six Hollywood stars to grace F1 fanatics with his presence at the 'Sapura and Kencana Petroleum Red Ribbon GP Ball 2012', to be held in Kuala Lumpur this March. "The Pianist" star would be joining 3 other actors announced earlier to be, "The Fast And The Furious" star Paul Walker, "Midnight In Paris" actor Owen Wilson, and 26-year-old Camille Belle from director Roland Emmerich's 2008 American fantasy film "10,000 BC". There would be a total of six Hollywood A-list celebrities making their entrance for the GP Ball but the identities of the other two celebrities are yet to be unveiled. Set to take place on 22 March, the said Gala event would be held at Mandarin Oriental Hotel, located a stone's throw by the Petronas Twin Towers. The event will accommodate an estimated 600 guests including the six Hollywood stars along with, F1 drivers and their principals, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor. Set as a charity event to benefit the Malaysian AIDS Foundation (MAF) and the Global Poverty Project, which is an international education and advocacy organisation. Tables with a capacity for 10 persons are being sold for RM35,000, RM50,000, RM100,000, and RM200,000. Purchasers of the RM100,000 and RM200,000 tables however will be invited for a meet-and-greet session with the stars .
