8 Jul – For those who cannot get enough of the newly-released "The Amazing Spider-Man", the producers of "The Amazing Spider-Man" have revealed that they have plans to shoot a trilogy, at the very least, for the reboot. "We knew that it was going to be more than one, and at the very least three. We're going to let this movie tell us what the story is," said producer Avi Arad to ComingSoon.net and SuperHeroHype in a recent interview. In addition, the official Facebook page of "The Amazing Spider-Man" is already touting it to be the first part of a trilogy. The sequel to the new origin story of Peter Parker is currently set to see release on 2 May 2014, but a third film in the series has yet to be confirmed despite the commitment from producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach. "It's finally here! The Amazing Spider-Man is the first instalment in a movie trilogy that will explore how our fave hero's journey was shaped by the disappearance of his parents," read the Facebook page. "The Amazing Spider-Man" is currently showing in cinemas in Malaysia and Singapore.
