19 Nov – George Clooney is currently in talks to star in Disney's alien feature "1952". If no hiccups happen along the way, Clooney would soon be working with director Brad Bird, who made a successful transition from directing toons such as "The Incredibles" and "Ratatouille" to live action with his last offering "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" starring megastar Tom Cruise. So far, no further plot for "1952" has been revealed except that it would closely resemble Steven Spielberg's 1977 science-fiction film "Close Encounters Of The Third Kind". The story will centre around a middle-aged man who comes in contact with aliens on earth. Damon Lindelof of TV Series "Lost" and "Prometheus" fame is penning the script, as well as picking up producer duties for the flick.
The "Ocean's Eleven" star will next be seen in space minus the aliens in "Gravity", scheduled for release in 2013 where he will play an astronaut alongside Sandra Bullock as they are both stranded in orbit. He is also currently in pre-production phase for "The Monuments Men", a story about American and British art experts on a mission to recover stolen artwork by the Nazis during World War ll, which he will star in as well as direct. Co-stars include Daniel Craig, Bill Murray and Cate Blanchett.
