Harry Osborn in "Spider-Man"?

Who could best take on Harry Osborn in the "Amazing Spider-Man" sequel? (Left – Right): Sam Claflin, Eddie Redmayne, Douglas Booth and Boyd Holbrook.

26 Nov – The question of who will take on the role of Harry Osborn, succeeding James Franco's original, remains in the air for "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" as four young up-and-coming actors are vying for the juicy role.

The most well-known of the four is Sam Claflin, whom audiences would remember from "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" as missionary Phillip Swift who fell in love with a mermaid as well as the recent "Snow White and the Huntsmen", where he played William, the childhood friend of Snow White (Kristen Stewart).

James Franco as Harry Osborn in Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man".

Other contenders include Eddie Redmayne, last seen in "My Week with Marilyn" and will soon be on the silver screens in "Les Miserables", Douglas Booth ("Romeo and Juliet") and Boyd Holbrook ("The Host").

Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone will be reprising their roles as Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy respectively while Shailene Woodley is on board as new love interest Mary Jane.

Jamie Foxx is currently still in talks to play villain Electro.

The sequel is expected for May 2014 release and another is set to follow after it.
