29 Mar – Shows at TGV KLCC for tonight have been suspended to heed safety precautions caused by reported gas leak explosion that occurred this evening at a cafe located at the ground floor of Suria KLCC Shopping Mall.

According to various updates on social networking site Twitter, the explosion which is believed to be from Chinoz On The Park café had caused a small fire to break out thus thousands of people were evacuated from the smoky mall premises.

The Fire Department on site confirmed that the fire has been extinguished and there were no casualties, however, those who were present said that paramedics had escorted one of the kitchen staff out.

Although unmarred by the incident, for safety purposes, TGV cinemas will be suspending all shows for tonight until further notice.

Stay tuned for more updates.

UPDATE:
Management from TGV has confirmed that all shows will resume at 8:15pm today. Those with tickets for earlier shows effected by the fire are to retain the movie tickets and collect their refund within 7 days from today at TGV KLCC's ticket counter.
