21 Dec – "Fast And Furious 6" star, Vin Diesel, will be flexing a different kind of muscles – the intelligent kind, as he is set to take on the title role in a feature-length film reboot of "Kojak", which was a 1970s television crime drama series of the same name created by Abby Mann. According to Collider, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, two members of the writing team for five Bond films including "Skyfall", will be penning the upcoming "Kojak" film for Universal, so fans can expect a certain level of quality for the film. For those who did not watch the five-season long television series, Telly Savals stars in the title role, a tough and witty New York City detective with a bald head and a penchant for Tootsie Pops. Set in the New York City Police Department's Eleventh Precinct, the show revolved around the efforts of the tough and incorruptible Lieutenant Theodore ("Theo") Kojak, whose catchphrase is "Who loves ya, baby?" No other details have been released for the upcoming reboot, such as which direction the team plans on taking "Kojak". Previously in 2005, a re-imagined "Kojak" series debuted on USA Network with actor Ving Rhames as Kojak, but only lasted one season. Meanwhile, Vin Diesel will next be seen in his recently completed "Fast And Furious 6" and "The Chronicles of Riddick: Dead Man Stalking".
