22 Feb – Warner Brothers is currently in the development stages of their prequel story for 2007's sci-fi thriller "I Am Legend", which starred Will Smith in the lead, and word is that they are planning to bring him back to reprise his role as Robert Neville in the new film, according to Sify Movies. Producer Akiva Goldsman, who co-wrote the script for the first movie, has been confirmed to be on board for this upcoming production. Based on Richard Matheson's 1954 novel, it is no surprise that Francis Lawrence's 2007's "I Am Legend" would see a prequel, as it managed to gross a total of US$ 585.3 million in the worldwide box office, making it a blockbuster. The first film told the story of Robert Neville's attempts to find a cure, when he ends up being the sole survivor on Earth after a plague turns the rest of the population into raging monsters. There is a high possibility that the new movie would focus on the events that led to the apocalypse that eventually leaves Smith's character as the only human being in the world.
