14 March – The "Resident Evil" franchise may have taken a lot of slams along the years but there's good reason that it's still going strong with the sixth instalment slated to start shooting soon. Director Paul W.S Anderson has been confirmed to re-helm the franchise along with wife, Milla Jovovich, who will be reprising her role as lead, Alice.
The latest sequel to the video game film franchise has not been given a title yet but it has already been given a scheduled release of 12 September, 2014. "Resident Evil 6" will continue using The Mr X visual effects house for VFX work. The company was also responsible for the effects of sequels "Apocalypse" and "Afterlife" as well as Anderson's "Three Musketeers" which also stars Jovovich.
