5 Dec – In another successful collaboration since "Silver Linings Playbook", David O' Russell's new movie, "American Hustle" and the supporting star, Jennifer Lawrence have both been named Best Picture and Best Supporting Actress, respectively, by the New York Film Critics Circle (NYFCC).

According to Inside Movies, the movie, co-starring Amy Adams, Christian Bale, and Bradley Cooper, was also announced to have won Best Screenplay, joining the number of films such as "12 Years a Slave", "Fruitvale Station", and "Dallas Buyers Club" dubbed worthy for the upcoming Oscars.

Critics are raving about the movie, which is based on the FBI ABSCAM operation of the late 1970s and early 1980s, especially in the casting of O' Russell's Oscar dream team of both Adams and Bale, who starred in the Oscar-nominated "The Fighter", while Cooper and Lawrence contended last year for "Silver Linings Playbook", in which Lawrence won Best Actress.
