Brad and Angelina finally wed

Happy couple Brad and Angelina finally ties the knot?

3 Jan – News about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's much anticipated union has been spreading like wildfire following a report from The Telegraph on 1 January claiming that the couple had secretly tied the knot on Christmas Day.

The wedding was said to have been held in the Caribbean's Turks and Caicos Islands at designer Donna Karan's Parrot Cay estates. Those in attendance purportedly included Pitt's parents Jane and William Pitt as well as his brother Doug and sister Julie.

While fans are excited over the news, the report did not provide any other substantial information about the union. The Los Angeles Times reported that a representative for Pitt's management team had been contacted to confirm the union but there were no return answers.

Reel life turns into real life for Brad and Angelina in "Mr. & Mrs. Smith".

What rings true from the story will only reveal itself in time as the sighting of the couple's family at the location may turn out to be only a family holiday.

The stars of "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" had previously stated that they would not get married until same sex marriage was legal across the United States but their children eventually persuaded them to reconsider their decision. The couple eventually announced their engagement last April. They have a total of six children together.

Brad Pitt has most recently appeared in "Killing Them Softly", and will next be seen in the post-apocalyptic horror film "World War Z" while Angelina Jolie will only be onscreen in 2014 for "Maleficent".
