Celebrating quality Malaysian films


The late Yasmin Ahmad's last instalment of her "Orked" trilogy – "Mukhsin" will be shown in The Gastro Project.

15 Apr – The Gastro Project will be having a special two-week festival of Malaysian award-winning films.

This collaboration with Zain & Co, will kick-start tomorrow night with the late Yasmin Ahmad's "Sepet" opening the event at 9pm. A total of 9 movies will be shown in the course of two weeks with several noted films being given special intros by directors/producers/screenwriters.

For Malaysian movie-lovers, the seats for these screenings are limited. To make sure you have a place in front of the screen, make early reservations by calling the restaurant. RM35++ will be charged for buffet refreshments.

The Gastro Project is movie-themed restaurant with its own indoor cinema. Screenings are made on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. It is located at No.25, Jalan 17/56, Petaling Jaya. The eatery is closed on Mondays and is open from 11am to 11pm from Tuesdays to Fridays and from 8am to 1am every Saturday and Sunday.
