Cumberbatch to star in horror


Benedict Cumberbatch in the upcoming "Star Trek Into Darkness".

6 Apr – Guillermo Del Toro has already picked out a five star team for his new haunted house thriller project "Crimson Peak" for after he wraps up "Pacific Rim", that consists of Benedict Cumberbatch, "The Amazing Spider-Man" actress Emma Stone and "Sons Of Anarchy" actor Charlie Hunnam.

However, plot details and characters they are playing are still unknown as the script has still yet to be written.


Guillermo Del Toro's "Pacific Rim" will be out in Malaysia and Singapore on 11 July 2013.

Meanwhile, Cumberbatch and co-star Martin Freeman are currently shooting the third season of BBC's "Sherlock", and it has been said that they will even come back for a fourth.

Cumberbatch's voice and performance capture work as Smaug will also be seen in another Martin Freeman project, "The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug" which will be out late this year, and "The Hobbit: There And Back Again", the third Hobbit film which will be out late next year.

In addition, there is the Julian Assange film, "The Fifth Estate", in which Cumberbatch stars with Daniel Bruhl, "August: Osage County" starring Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts, and finally, Steve McQueen's "Twelve Years A Slave" with Michael Fassbender and Brad Pitt.

With all these projects in his calendar, fans will be seeing more of him after his villainous role in "Star Trek Into Darkness".
