"Huat Ah!" cast shares filming experience

Marcus Chin, Ah Niu and Joyce Cheng sharing their filming experience.

23 Jul – It has been a hectic month for the cast of "Huat Ah, Huat Ah! Huat!" as they have been busy filming for the movie at various locations in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.

Just last Friday, the crew wrapped up the final scene for the movie, which consists of a dance number filmed at a charming village in Serendah.

Director Tan Boon Huat shared with us that they have also recently wrapped up filming at some scenic locations in Hulu Selangor. He said, "We managed to get some really good scenes at the waterfalls of Ulu Yam as well as the Seven Wells of Serendah."

The locals all dressed up in red for their dance sequence.

Veteran singer Ah Niu, who had to wear traditional Chinese clogs for the dance scenes, commented on his outfit, "There was a moment when I accidentally kicked the clogs away as there movements were really fast paced and the clogs are loose on my feet!"

The 36-year-old actor added, "We started with rehearsals along with the filming since 8am; I think I have developed a heatstroke!"

Hong Kong actress Joyce Cheng, who has been already in Malaysia for two weeks said, "I'm already getting used to my surroundings and I feel really happy! The food here is great as well! But one thing I found out about myself after staying here is that I am capable of sweating a lot!"

The romantic comedy film is expected to be released on Chinese New Year 2014.
