"KIL" triumphs at Anugerah Skrin


"KIL" was awarded Best Film in Anugerah Skrin 2013.

2 Dec – "KIL", a film about a depressed young man who hires a quirky assassination agency to help kill himself but then he falls for a girl he meets called Zara, won the award for Best Film at 'Anugerah Skrin 2013' held at Stadium Malawati last Friday.

"KIL" also won big as the film's director, Nik Amir Mustapha, won Best Film Director and Screenplay and lead actress Cristina Suzanne Stockstill won the award for Best Film Actress.

"When I think back way before becoming an artist, I get choked up. I worked in a cyber cafe and was a waitress at a restaurant. I started myself in the art industry and honestly I had never planned to get this far. To me, this is all a blessing and I want to give my win to my mom," said Cristina at the event.

'Anugerah Skrin' has been an annual event since 1995 that recognizes television programs and films made in Malaysia, as well as the best actors and television personalities.

Best Actress - Christina Suzanne ("KIL")

Best Script - Nik Amir Mustapha ("KIL")

Best Supporting Actor - Khir Rahman ("Rock Oo")

Best Supporting Actress - Miera Liyana ("Pecah")

Best Videography - Mohd Faizal Bin Mohd Ali ("Mawar Putih Tanda Perpisahan")
