Rosyam Nor carries Datuk title

12 Oct – Popular Malaysian actor Rosyam Nor, who is a two-time Asia Pacific Film Festival Award winner from movies like "KL Menjerit", "KL Gangster" and "Anak Halal" was awarded an honorary Datuk title in conjunction with the 75th anniversary of the Governor of Malacca, Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob last Friday.

Along with Rosyam Nor, local rock legend Ramli Sarip also received an honorary Datuk title.

There was a total of 901 recipients, star and honorary awards for the occasion and besides the actor and musician, Chief Minister of Melacca Datuk Idris Haron was the sole recipient of the title Datuk Seri.

There were a total of 10 people who received the title "Datuk Wira" including Melaka's Secretary of State Datuk Naim Abu Bakar.

Rosyam Nor and Ramli Sarip will also join 70 other recipients of honorary Datuk titles including Harimau Muda coach Ong Kim Swee.

Rosyam was last seen in Syamsul Yusof's new film "KL Gangster 2", which is still out in theatres.
