5 Aug – Just last month, news about the Batman/Superman crossover film was announced in the San Diego Comic Con. Recently, several industry insiders have disclosed that Ryan Gosling and Josh Brolin are in the running among others to play Batman. It is apparent that Brolin is a Warner Bros. favourite, having starred in "Gangster Squad" as well as the titular character in "Jonah Hex". The "Man Of Steel" sequel is reportedly featuring an older Batman in his late 30's.
On the list, four other actors will be contending for the role such as Joe Manganiello ("True Blood"), Richard Armitage ("The Hobbit"), Matthew Goode ("Watchmen") and Max Martini ("Pacific Rim"). It is still a long way to go for the highly anticipated movie as the script has not even been completed yet. The film is set to start filming next year and will be scheduled for a summer 2015 release.
