Schwarzenegger in "Terminator 5"

Before "The Last Stand", Arnold Schwarzenegger's last leading role was in "Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines".

27 Jan – Arnold Schwarzenegger, who plays the cyborg T-800 in the early "Terminator" films, before McG took over, has personally confirmed that he would be returning for "Terminator 5".

According to Bleeding Cool, while Schwarzenegger's role in the upcoming "Terminator" film is not confirmed yet, it is likely that he would be playing the role of the original T-800. However, whether "Terminator 5" will ignore the events of "Terminator Salvation" and return to its roots or pick up where McG's 2009 film left off remains to be seen.

Scriptwriters Laeta Kalogridis ("Shutter Island") and Patrick Lussier ("My Bloody Valentine 3D") are working on the script for producer Megan Ellison, best known for producing the Oscar-nominated "Zero Dark Thirty".

Aside from "Terminator 5" the 65-year-old actor will also be starring in Mikael Håfström's "The Tomb" with Sylvester Stallone, David Ayer's "Ten", "Triplets" and "The Legend Of Conan".

"The Last Stand" is showing in Malaysia now, but on 21 February 2013 in Singapore.
