22 Jul – Brace yourselves DC Comic fans, as Warner Bros has just announced a Batman and Superman crossover in the "Man Of Steel" sequel. This is not the first time plans were made for the two superheroes to unite onscreen, as Warner Bros were keen on making the movie happen back in 2011. Nonetheless, such a movie has been confirmed by "Man Of Steel" director Zack Snyder who is slated to direct the Superman/Batman movie while "Man Of Steel" writer David S. Goyer will be penning it. Henry Cavill will be reprising his role as Superman.
"I'm so excited to begin working again with Henry Cavill in the world we created. And I can't wait to expand the DC Universe in this next chapter. Let's face it, it's beyond mythological to have Superman and our new Batman facing off, since they are the greatest Super Heroes in the world," commented Snyder on the film. Unfortunately, Christian Bale will not be donning the Batman costume for this sequel as he recently announced that he will no longer be playing the cape crusader, especially if Christopher Nolan is not going to direct. The film is set to start filming next year for a summer 2015 release.
