19 Oct – The film that sparked controversy all over Malaysia, "Tanda Putera" is planned to be screened in London for students and Malaysians that reside in the country by the end of this year. According to film producer and director, Datin Paduka Shuhaimi Baba, she said that the film is going to be screened in London thanks to a private company. "From the preliminary information, this film will be screened on November 16. But, it depends on the date of university studies there because we want more students to be able to watch it," she told the New Straits Times.
Though the London screening is planned, Shuhaimi Baba has stated that she is now still waiting to get confirmation of the date of the person in charge of the screening. "Tentatively, we will be holding two sessions run so that we can accommodate 500 people to view the film. In the event of the screenings recieving an overwhelming response, we will add one more run."
