8 Sep – Director of "Thor: The Dark World" and "Game Of Thrones", Alan Taylor, is being eyed to direct "Terminator", a reboot of a franchise started by James Cameron by Paramount, Annapurna Pictures and Skydance. As mentioned, the film has been confirmed to be titled "Terminator", and not only will it be a reboot of the original trilogy rather than a direct sequel to "Terminator Salvation", but the start of a new trilogy which will not be connected in any way to the previous films.
For this project, Megan Ellison is producing via Annapurna Pictures, while her brother, David Ellison, will produce via his company, Skydance. Dana Goldberg and Paul Schwake of Skydance will serve as executive producers. "Shutter Island" screenplay writer, Laeta Kalogridis, and writer, director of "Drive Angry", Patrick Lussier, will write the screenplay. Earlier this year, reports emerged that Arnold Schwarzenegger would be returning for the new "Terminator" film, however, his role has yet to be confirmed. The trilogy is set to release between 2015 and 2018. Meanwhile, Taylor's directorial work will next be seen in "Thor: The Dark World", due for release in Malaysia and Singapore on 31 October 2013.
