20 Apr – The box office success of "The Croods" internationally has prompted DreamWorks to announce a sequel for the animation. The studio is in talks to bring back Kirk De Micco and Chris Sanders, who both helmed the film for the sequel. The duo was also responsible for "How To Train Your Dragon". In addition, the original voice cast members Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone and Ryan Reynolds are also in talks to return. No details yet on how the story will unfold with the upcoming sequel.
"The Croods" is about a family of prehistoric cavemen who stick to a mundane daily routine thanks to the overprotective patriarch of the family, Grug. When their eldest child Eep runs into a genius new-age explorer named Guy who tells them about the impending end of the world, the Croods' life as they know it is about to change. As they try to search for a safe home, Grug's position as head of the family becomes increasingly threatened by the presence of Guy. No release date has been announced for the movie yet. "The Croods" is currently showing in cinemas nationwide and Singapore.
