12 Jan – News of a potential monster adversary for "Godzilla" is taking the limelight away from the competition of human lead for the reboot. Website Chud had reported that Warner Brothers had just wrapped up a seminar for advertisers which included the confirmed news that "Godzilla" will feature two new monsters aside from the gigantic lead. The story will focus on a soldier which the studio promised will be very different from the classic "Godzilla" plots. As for the human lead, ever since Joseph Gordon-Levitt was reported to have turned down the role to be in "Sin City: A Dame To Kill For", Aaron Taylor-Johnson of "Kick-Ass" fame has been lauded as the frontrunner to be potentially stomped on by the monster lead.
However, the actor had responded that he will make the decision on whether to take on the offer after he reads the final script rewritten by Frank Darabont, who is the director of "The Green Mile". Other actors considered for the role includes Henry Cavill ("Man Of Steel"), Scoot McNairy ("Argo") and Caleb Landry Jones ("X-Men: First Class").
