29 Mar – Jack Lim and Silver's Chinese New Year film, "Once Upon A Time", revealed the film's DVD yesterday at the celebratory dinner, together with a music video featuring all-new footage for their upcoming film, "Balistik". Jack Lim also assured fans, distributors and cinemas that while the box office grosses for the historical film is lower than "Ah Beng The Movie: Three Wishes" by RM 2 million at RM 5.58 million, the end profit remains the same. As a result, they could continue filming the action thriller "Balistik", which stars Rosyam Nor, Jack Lim, Adi Putra and Rita Rudaini, as well as a majority of the MY FM crew. Footage from the video hint that "Balistik" is to be a gritty film a la "Infernal Affairs", a departure from Jack Lim and director Silver's usual comedy ventures. Rosyam Nor, who made an appearance in "Once Upon A Time" as a supporting character, essays the lead role in "Balistik" as Saga, an assassin who longs to get out from the life. Jack Lim plays his colleague, who is sent to monitor him, while Adi Putra plays Nizam, an inspector and Saga's former best friend who is on Saga's case. Aside from the DVD and music video, the celebratory dinner also saw Jack Lim and the cast giving away prizes to the "Once Upon A Time" contest winners and lucky draw winners.
"Balistik" is set to be released late this year while the "Once Upon A Time" DVD is priced RM 19.90 and can be bought at most local retailers.
