22 Aug – It is previously reported that the Emmy Awards is planning a tribute for the recently deceased actor, Robin Williams. Now the details are set in stone and Emmy's executive producer Don Mischer finally revealed who will be leading the tribute. As reported on E! Online, actor-comedian Billy Crystal has been chosen to lead the tribute during the ceremony. Crystal is one of Williams' longtime friends as well as his "Father's Day" co-star. The ceremony will also mark the first time Crystal is to speak up about his friend's tragic death. Last week, he only posted a simple but heartfelt message that said "No words" on his Twitter after the news of Williams' passing broke out.
Williams was found dead at his home on 11 August. The whole world is still mourning the loss of a great actor and a great man. The late actor's grieving family has been invited to attend the tribute at the Emmy Awards but has yet to confirm their attendance. The 66th Primetime Emmy Awards will be broadcasted live on 25 August 2014 in North America. For viewers who are tuning in from Malaysia and Singapore, the broadcast will be on Tuesday, 26 August 2014.
