29 Dec – After 19 years of marriage, comedian-cum-actor Chris Rock and wife, Maalak Compton-Rock, are going their separate ways. Rock's attorney, Robert S. Cohen, has confirmed the news. According to People.com, Cohen released a statement saying, "Chris Rock has filed for divorce from his wife, Malaak. This is a personal matter and Chris requests privacy as he and Malaak work through this process and focus on their family."
Rock marries Malaak, who is a philanthropist and founder of the nonprofit styleWorks, on 23 November 1996. The couple has two daughters: 12-year-old Lola Simone and 10-year-old Zahra Savannah. The couple's marriage has gone through its fair share of ups-and-downs, with Rock getting tangled in extramarital affair and former actress Kali Bowyer filing a paternity suit against him in 2007, claiming Rock fathered her son. Chris Rock was last seen in his highly acclaimed 2014 film, "Top Five", starring himself, Rosario Dawson and J.B. Smoove. (Main photo source: popsugar.com)
