"Fantastic 4" reboot cast revealed

21 Feb - The reboot for "The Fantastic Four" has gone through a very long casting process and many script changes, but they have finally confirmed their four stars for the franchise.

"The Fantastic Four" will star Miles Teller, who stars in "That Awkward Moment" and will star in "Divergent", Kate Mara of David Fincher's series "House of Cards", Jamie Bell who is widely known as "Billy Elliot" and "Fruitvale Station" star Michael B. Jordan.

Mara recently closed a deal to play play Sue Storm, a.k.a. The Invisible Woman, and while no offer is out yet, Bell is expected to be tapped to play Ben Grimm, a.k.a. The Thing. Teller has an offer to play Reed Richards, a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic. Jordan was one of the first actors to be tapped for the franchise as Johnny Storm.


The previous "Fantastic Four" did well in cinemas, but was met with mostly negative reviews.

It was also revealed that the reboot would be based on 'The Ultimate Fantastic Four' comics which shows the characters as younger men and women. It's not yet known which villains will feature in the film, though there have been reports that casting will begin in the next few weeks for the roles.

The new-look "Fantastic Four" still have big blue shoes to fill, despite weak responses from critics, the previous two :Fantastic Four" movies, which stared Chris Evans, Jessica Alba, Ioan Gruffudd and Michael Chiklis, did gross USD$660 million worldwide at the box office.
