12 Sep – It has been confirmed that actors, Idris Elba and Dominic West will be reunited on screen as both of them been cast for Pixar's 2003 "Finding Nemo" sequel, "Finding Dory". The news was revealed by Shortlist Magazine during an interview with West, "I saw Idris recently. We're both in the sequel to "Finding Nemo", so we were recording that. I'm in pretty regular contact with a lot of guys from "The Wire" [the TV show in which both the actors star] - a lot of them are godparents to my kids, so I love them dearly." Although the characters for Elba and West for the upcoming Pixar animated film have not been announced, it is assumed that they might play characters that are related to Dory, since the main plot of "Finding Dory" is about the fish reuniting with her family.
Andrew Stanton, who directed the original film, "Finding Nemo" will return as the director for the animated sequel alongside Angus MacLane as his co-director. It has also been confirmed that the cast from the original film such as Ellen DeGeneres, Albert Brooks, Willem Dafoe and Vicki Lewis will return to play the characters from the first film alongside the new added cast, Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy who both play Dory's parents, Ty Burrell as a beluga whale and Kaitlin Olson as Dory's adopted sister who is a killer whale. However, it is not confirmed whether Nemo voice actor, Alexander Gould will return to the sequel since he was nine at the time the first film was made and has now grown older and has a deeper voice. Also, it is not confirmed whether Jacques, a French-speaking Pacific cleaner shrimp from the original film will appear in the sequel as his voice actor, Joe Ranft, died in a car accident on 16 August 2005. "Finding Dory" has been slated for a release in Malaysia on 16 June 2016 while it will be released in North America on 17 June 2016.
