French films at GSC this May


"Mood Indigo" starring French darling Audrey Tautou is the highlight of the film festival.

5 May - This year's French Art and Film Festival (FAFF) is going big again this year with 12 specially selected French titles slated to be screened at Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) this 15 May 2014 onwards in Klang Valley and 5 June in Penang.

Fans of the Oscar winning film "The Artist" will be excited to find out that its star, Berenice Bejo will be in one of the films to be screened for the festival called "The Past", which is about an Iranian man who deserts his French wife and two children to return to his homeland.

This year's movie lineup will also be home for many romantic comedies like "Fly Me to the Moon", "Love is in the Air" and "Delicacy". The latter stars "The Da Vinci Code" star Audrey Tautou.

 

 

But the highlight of the festival is "Mood Indigo", another film also starring Audrey Tautou. It is a French film most talked about by film critics and movie fans around the world for its surrealist visuals and story about a woman who suffers from an unusual illness caused by a flower growing in her lungs.

For those who want a lighter choice of feature like an animation, FAFF will be screening "Princes and Princesses", "Same of Song" and the Annecy international Film Award Winning animation "Approved for Adoption", about a boy who finds himself in Belgium as a result of the Korean War.

The French Arts and Film Festival movie screenings will take place from 15 May to 1 June, 2014 in Klang Valley at GSC Pavilion, Mid Valley and 1 Utama and on 5 June to 15 June, 2014 it will head to Penang at GSC Gurney Plaza.
