17 Sep – Congratulations to Eva Mendes for successfully, albeit secretly, giving birth to a healthy baby girl last Friday, 12 September 2014 along with proud father Ryan Gosling in Los Angeles. Gosling, 33 and Mendes 40 started going out with each other back in 2011 after they had met on the set of "The Place Beyond the Pines". Back then, Gosling even mentioned his desire to be a father to The Times, "I'd like to be making babies but I'm not, so I'm making movies."
Mendes and Gosling are known for being rather private regarding their relationship, back in July when Mendes pregnancy rumours first arose, she laughed them off during "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" saying, "It's so ridiculous...It all started because I didn't want to go through the scanners at the airport. You know those X-ray scanners, which are really creepy? They basically see you naked, right? And not only that, but there's a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out." The name of the baby is not yet known, but considering that both Gosling and Mendes are beautiful and sexy individuals, what we do know is that their baby is probably looking super adorable. However, a close acquaintance of the two couple told E! Online that the baby looks a lot like Mendes, "Everyone is saying the baby looks like Eva and has her features." The source also said, "When she found out she was having a girl, she was freaking out. She kind of wanted a girl deep down, but of course she just wants a happy and healthy baby! Ryan is saying he is going to be overpowered with girls in the house and is gonna have to be extra manly around the house!" Gosling and Mendes recently collaborated in "Lost River" which was premiered in competition at the Un Certain Regard section at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival where Gosling acted as the writer and director of the film and Mendes played one of the roles in the film.
