18 Jun – We've seen his life story in Martin Scorsese's "The Wolf of Wall Street", and now Malaysians would be able to see the real deal for themselves this July.

Jordan Belfort is coming to Kuala Lumpur to present a seminar on his secrets to success at the Hotel Istana on 30 July.

Those who wish to see Belfort in the flesh have been racing to purchase tickets for his seminar, as premium tickets have been sold out while there are a few remaining general tickets as of time of writing.

Belfort is expected to share the truth behind his success using his proprietary Straight Line method, where he will cover topics about sales, business and entrepreneurship.

Jordan Belfort started out as a stock broker in the 90s and founded his own brokering firm in his early twenties. By his mid-twenties he was making more than USD50 million a year, with 1,000 stockbrokers working under him. He was later convicted for federal fraud and served a jail sentence of 22 months.

Belfort's quick rise and fall from fame and fortune is written in his own memoir, "The Wolf of Wall Street", which was adapted by Terence Winter and directed by Martin Scorsese, with Leonardo DiCaprio playing as Belfort himself, where Belfort also had a short cameo in the film.

"The Wolf of Wall Street" went on to be nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor at the 2014 Academy Awards, but did not win in any of the categories.

Although it was produced by Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak's stepson, Riza Aziz's Red Granite Pictures, "The Wolf of Wall Street" was banned in Malaysia.

Tickets for the seminar are priced at RM1,997, RM997 and RM287. The RM1,997 tickets have since sold out with the rest still available on wolfofwallstreetmy.com.
