27 Aug – It was previously reported that Tom Hanks will be reprising his role as Professor Robert Langdon and Ron Howard has chosen "Inferno" as the third instalment in the Dan Brown adaptation film series.
Hanks once again reprises his role for the sequel, "Angels & Demons", in 2009. Now five years later, Hanks is back, as an amnesiac Langdon.
In "Inferno", Langdon suffers from memory loss but is forced to stop an evil genius, who is obsessed with Dante's Inferno, before the latter releases a global plague.
"Inferno" is the fourth book in the famous Dan Brown novel series. However, Howard opts to make it the third film following "The Da Vinci Code" and "Angels & Demons", bypassing the third book "The Lost Symbol".
"Inferno" is set to hit the big screens on 18 December, 2015.
