"Sinister 2" to hit cinemas in 2015


2012 supernatural horror film, "Sinister".

24 Jul – One of the most profitable movies of the year 2012, "Sinister" will be followed by a sequel that is set to release on August 2015.

The director of 2012 Irish psychological horror film, "Citadel", Ciaran Foy will be directing the sequel and Scott Derrickson, the director and writer of the "Sinister" will be penning the sequel along with C. Robert Cargill who also co-wrote the first "Sinister" film.

The founder and CEO of Blumhouse Productions, Jason Blum who previously produced three blockbuster horror films, "Insidious" (2010), "Sinister" (2012) and "The Purge" (2013) will be in charge to produce "Sinister 2" with Derrickson.

As the film is still in its early production stage, there are currently no cast listed for the film.

"Sinister" had starred Ethan Hawke as a fictional true-crime writer Ellison Oswalt who discovers a box of home movies in his attic that puts his family in danger. The movie had grossed USD87.7 million worldwide.
