12 Nov – Director Jack Neo previously said he might not continue the "Ah Boys to Men" franchise after the third instalment. However, seeing the success of "Ah Boys to Men 3: Frogmen", it's a safe bet that the director may be doing more sequels. The director recently assured fans, according to The New Paper, that not only will there be an "Ah Boys to Men 4", there will also be a fifth instalment following it too. When asked about the plot and characters, however, Jack replied, "We want it to be a surprise." Of original cast Tosh Zhang, Joshua Tan, Wang Weiliang and Maxi Lim, who are all signed under the director's JM Artiste Network, he said, "They have a lot of fans, so we are likely to preserve them and add a few new roles." Actor Wesley Wong, the 28-year-old son of Hong Kong stars Melvin Wong and Angie Chiu, is likely to return to the franchise too. Wesley was introduced in this year's "Frogmen" as Hei Long (Black Dragon). The first "Ah Boys to Men" was released in 2012, followed by a sequel called "Ah Boys to Men 2" in 2013. Jack Neo's 2016 movie – not from his "Ah Boys" franchise – is "Long Long Time Ago", which will open in cinemas on 4 February in Singapore and 8 February in Malaysia.
