29 Apr – Looks like "Ghostbusters" won't be the only comedy film getting an all-female adaptation, word has it Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum-led "21 Jump Street" will be going down that road too.

There are no details yet on which actress will be joining the cast, according to The Tracking Board, but it is confirmed that Comedy Central's "Broad City" writers Lucia Aniello and Paul Downs will be penning the screenplay.

2012's "21 Jump Street", directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, is a spin on the 1987 American television series of the same name. Its success spawned a 2014 sequel titled "22 Jump Street".

A still from "22 Jump Street".

Hill and Tatum star as the socially awkward cop Morton Schmidt and dim-witted cop Greg Jenko, respectively. In the first film, the duo goes undercover in a high school and finds themselves confronting the terror and anxiety of being a teenager again.

Whereas in the sequel, the two overgrown adolescents' undercover mission this time takes them into college, where they not only have to crack their case but also figure out if they can have a mature relationship.

The all-female spinoff will reportedly be based on the successful movies and not the TV series. While fans wait for this to happen, catch Hill and Tatum again in the upcoming threequel "23 Jump Street".
