8 May – "Captain America 3: Civil War" finally has its full lineup. Fans will, of course, be seeing the return of Chris Evans as the titular super hero.
However, his will not be the only familiar face. As revealed by Marvel on its official website, most of the Avengers, as seen in the final scene of "Avengers: Age of Ultron", will assemble with the Captain.
Robert Downey. Jr will be reprising his role as Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as Falcon, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Don Cheadle as War Machine and Elizabeth Olsen as the Scarlet Witch.
It is also confirmed that Paul Rudd, who will be making his debut as Ant Man in the upcoming Marvel movie by the same name this 16 July, will join the Avengers team in "Captain America 3".
Other fresh faces joining the team will be Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther as well as Martin Freeman and Daniel Brühl in undisclosed roles. Emily VanCamp will make a return as Agent 13, Frank Grillo as Crossbones and William Hurt as General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross.
Set for release on 5 May 2016, "Captain America: Civil War" will shoot on location in Atlanta, Georgia. It will also be filmed in Germany, Puerto Rico and Iceland.
The official synopsis reads: "Captain America: Civil War" picks up where "Avengers: Age of Ultron" left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.
In related news, "Avengers: Infinity War" Part 1 and 2, which will be written by "Captain America" writers the Russo brothers, will be filmed entirely in IMAX, a first for a Hollywood blockbuster.
