GSC Cinemas IOI City Mall was launched yesterday.

13 Feb – Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) has launched yet another new GSC cinema which is located at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya and it features two GSC Maxx halls.

GSC Cinemas IOI City Mall offers 13 digital screens with a total capacity of 2,145 seats which includes three 3D halls and 26 wheelchair spaces.

"GSC IOI City Mall, Putrajaya is equipped with two GSC Maxx in THX-certified halls featuring larger than normal screen size and a steeper floor gradient for uninterrupted viewing pleasure," said GSC's CEO, Ms Koh Mei Lee at the cinema launch held yesterday.

She added, "Fitted with the latest multi-dimensional cinema 3D Dolby Atmos audio technology and 4k projectors for higher image resolution and optimum brightness, movie-fans can certainly look forward to a 'larger than life', totally immersive cinematic experience here"

GSC Cinemas IOI City Mall, Putrajaya is the fourth GSC cinema opened within two months after the launch of GSC Cinemas Ipoh Parade (5 Feb 2015), GSC Cinemas NU Sentral (29 Jan 2015) and GSC Cinemas Quill City Mall (18 Dec 2014).

Also, in conjunction with the Chinese New Year, GSC will hold all kinds of on-ground movie-themed activities such as "Kingsman: The Secret Service"- Secret Agent Memory Game, "Dragon Blade" wire buzz game, "Spongebob: Sponge Out of Water" arts & crafts activities and "Insurgent" shooting game including special movie character and clown appearances.
