14 Apr – For fans who have been hankering for an onscreen reunion between martial arts stars Datuk Jackie Chan and Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh, your wish just might come true. The "Dragon Blade" star recently proposed an idea to shoot a movie in Sarawak, upon his first visit to the Bornean state for the 2015 Asean International Film Festival and Awards (AIFFA), but only with Michelle as "his romantic interest". According to The Star, when the notion was relayed to the actress by an AIFFA host during the award show's opening, Michelle readily agreed, saying, "We've been talking about a love story for 30 years now. Anytime you are ready, brother!" The duo previously worked together in 1992's "Police Story 3", playing the lead roles opposite each other. Jackie was excited to be reunited with his co-star at the AIFFA, as evident by his Facebook post after the event: "But the happiest thing of all was meeting with my old friend, Michelle Yeoh."
"I truly cherish every moment and opportunity we have to see each other because we're usually so busy that we don't get a chance to even meet. In my new book, I also wrote a section just about her!" Along with the message, the actor posted a photo of him embracing the actress in a back hug. The actor received the prize for the Asean Inspiration Award at the 2015 AIFFA. Meanwhile, the actress was present to hand The Lifetime Achievement prize, which she previously won, to veteran Filipino actress Nora Aunor. Jackie Chan was last seen in this year's "Dragon Blade", while Michelle Yeoh will be seen in the upcoming "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2".
