3 Mar – "Focus" opens at number one on the U.S. weekend box office chart for 26 February to 1 March, while in Malaysia "Kingsman: The Secret Service" climbs a spot to first place and in Singapore, "Ah Boys to Men 3: Frogmen" makes no move from the top spot. Will Smith and Margot Robbie's heist movie, "Focus", is the only new release to chart on the top three last weekend in the U.S. It lands on number one with its gross of USD18.6 million. "Kingsman: The Secret Service" collects another USD11.8 million, giving it yet another week as first runner-up. Last week's third place, "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water", similarly refuses to slide down, squeezing another USD10.8 million into its growing collection over the weekend.
Over in Malaysia, "Kingsman: The Secret Service" switches place with last week's big winner, moving up to number one while "From Vegas to Macau 2" moves down to number two. Newly released "King of Mahjong", featuring Hong Kong's Chapman To and Singapore's Mark Lee, settles for number three. Meanwhile Singapore's local movie "Ah Boys to Men 3: Frogmen", does not croak from the chart's top spot. "Kingsman: The Secret Service" makes another switch with the chart's other runner-up, effectively moving up to second place as "Dragon Blade" falls down to third. In Malaysia, new movies released last weekend are "12 Golden Ducks", "Kaaki Sattai", "Focus", "Kungfu Taboo", "ATM" and "Sunti @ Facebook". Other movies that also opened last weekend in Singapore are "Kaaki Sattai", "My Papa Rich", "Tracers" and "Focus".
