25 Mar – With the success of his "Taken" franchise and movies such as "A Walk Among the Tombstones", it comes as no surprise that Liam Neeson is being pursued to star in yet another action movie. According to The Wrap, Neeson, who currently can be seen on the big screen in "Run All Night", is being eyed for a leading role in upcoming action thriller, "Narco Sub". Brian Kirk, director of the "Game of Thrones", has been confirmed to helm said thriller, which is written by David Guggenheim and will likely star Neeson in it. The 62-year-old action star recently stated that he might stop filming action movies in two more years, hence the reason he wastes no time in getting a move on his next action character. In "Narco Sub", the actor will reportedly play a disgraced American naval officer, who is forced to navigate a submarine full of drugs.
Neeson's name has been at the top of the list ever since September. Now that a director is officially attached to the project, the producers are working on closing the deal with the "Taken" star. "Unstoppable" director Tony Scott, "Jumper" director Doug Liman and "Olympus Has Fallen" director Antoine Fuqua were some of those who were previously circling the project over the years. Neeson can be seen next in "Entourage", "Ted 2", "A Monster Calls" as well as Martin Scorsese's "Silence", which the actor is currently shooting. (Photo Source: liamneeson.net)
