29 Jan – Matthew McConaughey is born to run for his upcoming movie role. The "Interstellar" star is now attached to a new novel-to-big-screen adaptation by "World War Z" writer Matthew Michael Carnahan, called "Born to Run".

According to Deadline, McConaughey has boarded the project in which Carnahan will be adapting the best-selling book by Christopher McDougall, titled "Born To Run: A Hidden Tribe, Super Athletes, And The Greatest Race The World Has Never Seen".

The book tells the story of an award-winning journalist and often-injured runner, who headed for the isolated and deadly Copper Canyons in Mexico to find out how the Tarahumara Indians have perfected the skill of running for hundreds of miles without needing rest or getting injured.

Looks like there will be no rest for McConaughey, the sought-after actor is expected to start filming for yet another movie this June; a mining drama called "Gold", directed by Stephen Gaghan, Variety reports.

Though in his early days McConaughey made his name through romantic comedies, in recent years the actor has been opting for more serious films – a wise choice considering the many awards and nominations he has received since starring in movies like "Killer Joe", "Mud" and "Dallas Buyers Club".

McConaughey starred in Christopher Nolan's "Interstellar" last year, which made USD671.1 million worldwide; USD1.8 million of it collected in Malaysia and USD2.3 million in Singapore.

Other than "Born to Run" and "Gold", McConaughey will also be seen next in "The Sea of Trees" and "The Free State of Jones".
