30 Dec – MBO Cinemas has officially launched its 26th cinema at Central Square, Sungai Petani last Saturday, now offering a total of 191 screens nationwide.

The latest addition consists of eight halls comprising of a total of 1,157 seating capacity with the largest hall being able to accommodate almost 300 people.

During the opening ceremony, MBO Cinemas Marketing and Sales Director Cheah Chun Wai said; "This is a special occasion as Sungai Petani is our third location in Kedah Darul Aman after Alor Star Mall in the State capital and Landmark Central in Kulim."

Cheah officially launched MBO Central Square by cutting the ribbons with some help from Team Zero.

"MBO Cinemas is among the first operators to move from 35mm film projection to full digitalised projection on all screens," he added.

The opening ceremony also included photo opportunities with "Star Wars" cosplayers as well as entertainment by Team Zero, the winners of "Maharaja Lawak Mega 2014".

The huge crowd can't wait to meet Team Zero as well as win some freebies!

Team Zero had an autograph-signing session for the fans.

Some of the lucky people who signed up for the MBO AllStar membership card on the spot had won Vivo handphones, Ice Watches, MBO Cinemas merchandise and also received free MBO Cinemas coupons.
