Michelle Yeoh stranded but safe in Nepal.

27 Apr – Malaysian-born actress Michelle Yeoh is stranded in Nepal with fiancé Jean Todt, after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake in the country has caused the closing of the international airport.

As reported on Mingpao News, the actress, who was in the country to accompany Todt to the International Automobile Assembly, in which he serves as the chairman, was stranded at the Kathmandu airport alongside all the other guests when it was revealed that all the flights have been cancelled and local communication servers remain inoperative.

Meanwhile, the Hong Kong Automobile Association revealed that the couple are currently safe and are staying at a hotel.

The representative stated that there is also a possibility that a private jet will be arranged to come and get them.

Hundreds and thousands of tourists seemed to have been stranded in Nepal as well since the earthquake happened. Disaster recovery workers are currently working hard to locate survivors.
