Public reacts to Michelle Yeoh's wedding news

6 Mar – After being an item for nearly a decade, Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh and her fiancé, Jean Todt, will finally be tying the knot this year.

The "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" actress made the announcement during a recent appearance at the Roberto Cavalli 2015 Fall/Winter Fashion Show in Milan, On CC News reported.

There is no word yet on the confirmed date and venue, but the Malaysian actress did reveal that it will be soon and it will only be a small ceremony. "It will just be a meal with family and friends to celebrate the occasion."

While Michelle's mother, Datin Janet Yeoh, is reportedly ecstatic about the news, there are some members of the public who are not in any rush to send the couple congratulatory bouquets soon.

Readers over at Free Malaysia Today and Yahoo! Singapore have left heated comments such as "Why marry someone who is old enough to be your father ? Are you thinking straight ?", "Boring ... Yawn.", "Wow !!! Remarry again ..... Now ? what is the "Q" number of this marriages ...." and "REALLY? WHAT IS SO GREAT? EVERYDAY PEOPLE GET MARRIED...? WHY NOW AFTER LIVING TOGETHER FOR YEARS?....SHE AI'NT SPRING CHICKEN I GUESS!"

Michelle, who was previously married to Hong Kong entrepreneur Dickson Poon from 1988 to 1992, and her FIA president fiancé reportedly had to postpone their marriage due to the death of Michelle's father, Datuk Yeoh Kian Teik, last year.

The actress will be seen next in the 2015 movie, "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon II: The Green Destiny".
