17 Feb – Hong Kong actress Charmaine Sheh claimed that the movie tickets for "Triumph in the Skies" were sold out on Valentine's Day in Malaysia. During the press conference of "Triumph in the Skies" in Kuala Lumpur recently, Charmaine Sheh told the press that she went to a Malaysian cinema on 14 February 2015 and found out that the tickets for the movie sold out within 10 minutes to a packed cinema.
"I arrived at Malaysia on 14 February and I secretly went to the cinema to see how the movie performed. I found out that it was a full house and the tickets sold out within 10 minutes," said the 39-year-old actress.
The actress also said that the movie performed quite well in Hong Kong as it has thus far collected almost HKD 2 million at the Hong Kong box office. "Triumph in the Skies" is a movie adaptation of the famous TVB series by the same name which has spawned two seasons. The movie stars Francis Ng, Louis Koo, Julian Cheung, Sammi Cheng, Charmaine Sheh as well as Taiwanese star Amber Kuo. The film is directed by Wilson Yip and Matt Chow and was released in Malaysia on Valentine's Day, 14 February 2015.
