"Avengers: Infinity War" is excluding this famous superhero

The first of the two part "Avengers" film will see an array of superheroes trying to
save earth from supervillain, Thanos.

22 Dec – The third movie in the "Avengers" series, "Avengers: Infinity War" casting call list has been revealed and it includes an array of superheroes from all across the Marvel Cinematic Universe with some notable exceptions.

This was according to Movie Casting Call (via Omega Underground) which posted a new casting call for the film that features what appears to be the main cast of "Infinity War".

The list includes some of the original "Avengers" members from the first two parts such as Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man and Chris Evans as Captain America among others.

Also in the list are the more recent additions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe such as, Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Paul Bettany as Vision and Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr Strange along with Benedict Wong as Wong (the librarian from the "Dr. Strange" film).

In addition to that, some big names will also finally be making their "Avengers" debut such as the whole of the "Guardians of Galaxy" cast, from Chris Pratt's Star Lord to Vin Diesel's Groot, Paul Rudd's Ant-Man and Brie Larson who is tapped to play Captain Marvel in her very own solo upcoming movie.

However, one notable absentee from the list was the name of Tom Holland who will play the web-slinging teen superhero in the upcoming "Spiderman: Homecoming" movie.

According to Comicbook.com, the upcoming "Avengers" film is much more of a cosmic affair than the previous films. So, if "Spider-Man" manages to appear in the movie, it would only be a minor role which might explain the exclusion.

Tom Hiddleston's Loki who was the main villain in the first "Avengers" movie is also a notable absentee from the casting call.

But what is certain is that Marvel Studios upcoming movies are all interconnected and will look to build up the eventual encounter with the planet eating mega-villain, Thanos.

Some of the more recent upcoming movies from Marvel studios are "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" which drops on April 27, 2017 and "Spider-Man: Homecoming" which will swing into cinemas on July 7, 2017.
